Propionibacterium acnes is widely recognized as one of causes of acne,which have close relationship with pathological processes based on deepening research on P.acnes in recent years,including sebum secretion,excessive keratinization,and inflammation of acne patients,indicating they are not independent pathogenic factors in pathogenesis of acne.The article reviews mechanism and research progress of P.acnes for acne,to provide in-depth research ideas for further diagnosis and treatment of acne.
