Effect of Early Rehabilitation Treatment on Mechanically Ventilated Elderly Patients with Severe Pneumonia
Objective To study effect of early rehabilitation treatment on mechanically ventilated elderly patients with severe pneumonia.Methods The paper chose 116 elderly patients with severe pneumonia with mechanical ventilation in ICU Department of our hospital from June 2021 to June 2023,and divided them into groups randomly with odd even number method.Control group(n=58)was treated with routine treatment,while study group(n=58)with early rehabilitation treatment based on routine treatment.Offline status,rehabilitation process,and complications between two groups were observed.Results After treatment,success rate of weaning in study group within 4 weeks was higher than control group(P<0.05).Mechanical ventilation,ICU stay,and total length of stay in study group was shorter than control group(P<0.05).Incidence of complications was lower in study group was lower than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Early rehabilitation treatment can shorten offline time,reduce complications,and accelerate disease progression of elderly patients with severe pneumonia during mechanical ventilation treatment significantly,which has ideal treatment outcomes.
