Effect Analysis of Percutaneous Kyphoplasty in Treatment of Elderly Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures
Objective To analyze curative effect of percutaneous kyphoplasty on elderly patients with osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures. Methods The paper chose 100 elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures in Xuzhou Medical University Affiliated Hospital from January 2020 to January 2022,and divided equally into study group and control group with odd even grouping method, with 50 cases in each group.Routine group was treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty, while study group with percutaneous kyphoplasty.Curative effect was compared. Results Study group had higher curative effect rate,p<0.05,higher scores in dimensions of life quality, with p<0.05.Incidence of complications in study group was lower,p<0.05.Height of anterior and posterior edges of injured vertebra, midline height of the injured vertebra in study group was higher, posterior convex angle(Cobb angle)was less, with p<0.05.Conclusion Percutaneous kyphoplasty can achieve significant effect, improve life quality, reduce complications of elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, which is worthy of promotion.
