Application of Process Management and Quality Control in Skin Care of High-risk Patients with Pressure Injury in Neurosurgery Department
Objective To explore application of process management and quality control in skin care of high-risk patients with pressure injury in neurosurgery. Methods The paper chose 46 patients with high risk of pressure injury in neurosurgery department of our hospital from January 2022 to October 2022 as control group treated with routine skin care;and 45 high-risk patients with pressure injuries in neurosurgery department of our hospital from November 2022 to June 2023 as observation group, with process management and quality control.Risk assessment and prevention knowledge of stress injury was evaluated and compared between two groups, quality of skin care was compared between two groups, occurrence of pressure injuries during hospitalization was compared between two groups. Results After process management and quality control, risk assessment and prevention knowledge scores of stress injuries in observation group were significantly higher than control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).Quality of skin care in observation group was significantly higher than control group, and incidence of pressure injuries during hospitalization in observation group was significantly lower than control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Process management and quality control can improve understanding and implementation of nurses on risk assessment and prevention measures for pressure injuries effectively, improve quality of skin care, prevent and reduce incidence of pressure injuries of high-risk patients with pressure injuries in neurosurgery during hospitalization.
