Effect of Continuous Improvement in Quality Management of Outpatient Prescriptions of Hospitals
Objective To explore and analyze the role of continuous improvement in the quality management of hospital outpatient prescription. Methods The outpatient prescriptions of our hospital from January 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the study samples.Among them,no continuous improvement program was implemented from January to December 2022,and routine outpatient prescription quality management program was adopted as the control group(286 cases). From January to July 2023,the continuous improvement program was implemented to manage the quality of outpatient prescriptions in the study group(325 cases). The irrational prescriptions were summarized after the implementation of continuous improvement, and the proportion of irrational prescriptions and the incidence of adverse drug reactions were compared before and after implementation. Results After the implementation of the prescription review,a total of 9 unreasonable prescriptions were found, the main problems included off-label drug use, repeated drug use, unreasonable drug selection, unreasonable drug combination, etc. After implementation, the proportion of irrational prescriptions was lower than before implementation(P<0.05);The incidence of adverse drug reactions was lower than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous improvement scheme in outpatient prescription quality management can reduce the proportion of unreasonable prescriptions and the incidence of adverse drug reactions, and can be widely applied in medical institutions.
