Objective To analyze the clinical effect of orthodontic treatment for malocclusion of adults. Methods The paper chose 82 adult patients with malocclusion in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022,and divided them into two groups randomly for comparison. The control group was treated with routine restorative treatment, while the observation group with routine restorative and orthodontic treatment. Life quality scores, oral chewing function, total effective rate and adverse reactions were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Results Life quality scores and oral chewing function of the observation group were higher than the control group after treatment, and total effective rate was higher than the control group,P<0.05. The adverse reactions of the observation group were lower than the control group,P<0.05. Conclusion Routine restoration combined with orthodontic treatment can achieve definite curative effect for adult malocclusion and can improve chewing function of patients effectively.
