Effect of Ultraviolet Riboflavin Corneal Cross-Linking Surgery on Advanced Keratoconus
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of ultraviolet riboflavin corneal cross-linking surgery on advanced keratoconus. Methods 58 patients with advanced keratoconus treated in our hospital from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group (conventional de epithelialization therapy) and an observation group (ultraviolet riboflavin corneal cross-linking surgery) to compare the application effects. Results The application effect of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05);The observation group had fewer complications than the control group (P<0.05);The perioperative values of each indicator in the control group were higher than those in the observation group, and the difference between the two groups formed a conclusion (P<0.05);The quality of life indicators of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the conclusion of inter group differences was significant (P<0.05);The difference in SDS and SAS scores between the two groups before intervention was relatively small (P>0.05);After intervention, there was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of ultraviolet riboflavin corneal cross-linking surgery in the treatment of advanced keratoconus can effectively improve patients' clinical symptoms, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, have certain safety and effectiveness, highlight its application value, and can be further promoted.
