Curative Effect of Sertraline Combined with Aripiprazole in Treatment of Schizophrenia Patients
Objective To observe the effect of sertraline combined with aripiprazole in treatment of patients with schizophrenia. Methods The paper chose 138 patients with schizophrenia diagnosed in our hospital from February 2022 to May 2023,and divided them into the reference group (n=69) and the experimental group (n=69) with random table number method. Aripiprazole was chosen in treatment scheme of the reference group,while sertraline and aripiprazole was chosen in treatment scheme of the experimental group. Curative effect and adverse drug reactions were observed between two groups,changes in serum homocysteine (Hcy) levels and disease symptoms were compared before and after treatment. Results Total effective rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than the reference group (P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in adverse drug reactions compared with the reference group (P>0.05). Difference in Hcy levels and PANSS scores of disease symptoms between two groups before treatment was not statistically significant (P>0.05). After treatment,the Hcy level in the experimental group was significantly lower than the reference group (P<0.05),and the PANSS scores of disease symptoms were significantly lower than the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion During drug treatment of schizophrenia patients,combination therapy of sertraline and aripiprazole can not only optimize treatment effect,but cause no significant increase of the adverse reactions,with high drug safety,which can further reduce the serum homocysteine level and alleviate disease symptoms of of patients.
