Application of Operating Room Nursing Pathway for Patients with Emergency Cranial Trauma Surgery
Objective To explore the effect of operating room nursing pathway for patients with emergency traumatic brain surgery. Methods The paper chose 80 patients with traumatic brain injury with emergency surgical treatment in the hospital from January 2020 to May 2023,and randomly divided them into the control group (n=40) treated with routine operating room nursing, and the observation group (n=40) with operating room nursing pathway. Surgical indicators were observed, pupil scores were evaluated, and incidence of complications was recorded. Results The preparation time for surgery in the observation group was significantly shorter than the control group (P<0.05). Surgery duration showed no significant difference compared with the control group (P>0.05). There was some certain degree increase of pupil scores in two groups after surgery compared with before, but there was no significant difference compared with before surgery (P>0.05). The comparison of pupil scores between the preoperative and postoperative observation group and the control group was not significant (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in preoperative pupil scores between two groups with severe traumatic brain injury and those with extremely severe traumatic brain injury (P>0.05). The pupil scores of the observation group with severe traumatic brain injury after surgery were higher than the control group (P<0.05),there was no significant difference in pupil scores between the observation group with severe traumatic brain injury and the control group (P>0.05). Incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The operating room nursing pathway can shorten preparation time for surgery, provide early surgical treatment, reduce incidence of complications, and facilitate condition recovery of patients with emergency traumatic brain surgery.
