Effect and Safety Evaluation of Simultaneous Ureteroscopy in Treatment of Renal Pelvis Cysts Combined with Renal Calculus
Objective To evaluate the effect and safety of simultaneous ureteroscopy in treatment of renal pelvis cysts combined with renal calculus. Methods The paper chose 25 patients with renal pelvis cysts and renal calculus in our hospital from December 2021 to June 2023 as the observation group, and another 25 patients with renal pelvis cysts and renal calculus in our hospital from January 2019 to June 2021 as the control group. The observation group was treated with ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy+cystectomy and internal drainage, while the control group with percutaneous nephrolithotomy holmium laser lithotripsy+cystectomy and internal drainage.Surgical effect, perioperative related indicators, pain level, renal function, incidence of complications and prognosis were compared between two groups. Results Comparison of surgical time showed no significant difference between two groups,(P>0.05).The observation group had lower intraoperative blood output and shorter hospital stay than the control group (P<0.05).Visual analog scale (VAS) scores of the observation group were lower than the control group on postoperative day 1 and 3,(P<0.05).Levels of β2-microglobuLIN (β 2-MG),cystatin C (CysC) and neutrophil gelatinase associated apolipoprotein (NGAL) in two groups were higher than before operation on postoperative day 1,those of the observation group were lower than the control group (P<0.05).Urinary hemoglobin level of two groups was lower than before operation, those of the observation group was higher than the control group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of complications between two groups (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in stone clearance rate and cyst recurrence rate between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Simultaneous ureteroscopy treatment can achieve good stone clearance rate and cyst cure rate for renal pelvis cysts combined with renal calculus, with minimal trauma, less intraoperative bleeding and postoperative pains, which can reduce renal function damage, shorten postoperative hospital stay and accelerate postoperative recovery.
