Curative Effect Comparison of Orthokeratological Glasses on Myopic Adolescents with Different Corneal Curvatures
Objective To investigate curative effect of orthokeratological glasses on myopic adolescents with different corneal curvatures.Methods The paper reviewed and studied 100 adolescent patients with orthokeratological glasses in our hospital from May 2022 to May 2023,and divided them into two groups based on different corneal curvatures:steep corneal curvature group and flat corneal curvature group (50 cases in each group) The wearing effect between two groups was compared.Results With continuous 1-year follow-up,the uncorrected visual acuity of two groups significantly improved and tended to be stable compared with before wearing glasses,(P>0.05).Meanwhile,axial length and its growth value of the group with flat corneal curvature was higher than that with steep corneal curvature (P<0.05).But corneal central thickness and endothelial cell count between two groups had little difference (P>0.05).The axial growth value of the group with flat corneal curvature was higher than that with steep corneal curvature (P<0.05),there was no significant difference in corneal thickness and changes in endothelial cells (P>0.05).Conclusion Steep corneal curvature can achieve better control effect on ocular axis of adolescent patients wearing orthokeratological glasses.However,they can not cause adverse effect on central corneal thickness and endothelial cell count,and achieve effect of improving vision.
