Objective To observe and evaluate the therapeutic value of Tibetan medicine Zaxiu ointment in musculoskeletal and neurological diseases.Methods A total of 1147 patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders who received treatment with Tibetan medicine mixed ointment in multiple departments of the Tibetan Hospital in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture from June 2023 to December 2023 were selected through a practical self controlled clinical design.The actual intervention treatment measures of the patients were recorded,and the patient's pain number score (NRS),functional impairment,and tenderness improvement were evaluated.Results After one week of treatment,the NRS index showed a significant improvement rate of 14.04％ and an effective rate of 79.02％.After two weeks of treatment,the NRS index was 23.03％ and 67.03％,respectively;After one week of treatment,the functional impairment efficacy indices were 79.71％ and 19.24％,respectively,and after two weeks of treatment,they were 21.61％ and 67.82％,respectively;After one week of treatment,the tenderness efficacy indices were 26.81％ and 67.03％,respectively,and after two weeks of treatment,they were 22.87％ and 72.39％,respectively.The analysis results of PPS and FAS were comparable,and no serious adverse events occurred during the treatment process.Conclusion Tibetan Medicine Zaxiu Ointment can effectively reduce pain and motor dysfunction in patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.Continuous use can promote improved prognosis and has high effectiveness and safety.
