Interventional Therapy for 1 Case of Abdominal Bleeding Caused by Rupture of Superior Mesenteric Artery Aneurysms
Visceral artery aneurysm (VAA) is considered a rare and potentially fatal disease, with a prevalence rate of 0.1%~2%.Superior mesenteric artery aneurysms (SMAAs) are very rare visceral aneurysms, accounting for approximately 5.5% of all visceral aneurysms.Incidence of SMAAs rupture is as high as 80%,and the mortality rate after rupture is 25%~70%.Interventional therapy has become the main treatment method for visceral aneurysms. The paper treats rupture and bleeding of SMAAs with gelfoam particles combined with miniature coil embolization for branches of the superior mesenteric artery and jejunal artery.
