Curative Effect Observation of Nasal High Flow Oxygen Therapy for Elderly Patients with Respiratory Failure
Objective To explore clinical curative effect of nasal high flow oxygen therapy for elderly patients with respiratory failure. Methods The paper chose 104 elderly patients with respiratory failure in our hospital from January 2020 to May 2024,and divided them into the control group and the observation group. The control group was treated with standard oxygen therapy, while the observation group with nasal high flow oxygen therapy. C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, blood gas analysis, oxygenation status, and tracheotomy rate was observed between two groups. Results Two indicators, blood gas analysis, and oxygenation status of the observation group were significantly better than the control group, tracheotomy rate of the observation group was lower than the control group. Conclusion Nasal high flow oxygen therapy provides good news for treatment of elderly patients with respiratory failure, which is worthy of clinical reference.
