Effect of Virtual Simulation Training on Achievements of Students in Basic Nursing Education
Objective To explore the effect of virtual simulation training on achievements of students in basic nursing education. Methods The paper chose 124 basic nursing students from January 2021 to February 2023 as research subjects, and divided them into the control group and the observation group according to different teaching methods. The control group of 62 students was treated with traditional teaching methods, while the observation group of 62 students with virtual simulation training on the basis of traditional teaching. Teaching effect and assessment scores of students,self-directed learning ability before and after training were compared between two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in learning motivation,self-management,planning and implementation, interpersonal communication, and overall scores between two groups before teaching(P>0.05). There was no significant change in learning motivation,self-management,planning and implementation, interpersonal communication, and overall scores in the control group after teaching (P>0.05). Compared with before teaching, the observation group had significant increase in learning motivation,self-management,planning and implementation, interpersonal communication, and overall scores after teaching. Those of the observation group were higher than the control group during the same period (P<0.05). The observation group showed significantly higher scores in case analysis, practical operation and basic theory than the control group (P<0.05). Teaching effect of the observation group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Virtual simulation training can improve achievements of students in basic nursing education significantly and enhance self-directed learning ability effectively.
