Analysis and Comprehension on Schriever Wargames by USAF
Schriever Wargame, a high-level strategic exercise of U.S.Air Force (USAF) for future space security and space war, has been organized for ten times.Through systematic comprehensive review of Schriever Wargame by USAF, the paper compares the basic conditions of all previous exercises in terms of time, site, content, time setting, weapons utilized/involved and technical means, conclusions and influences, etc.Also, the paper analyzes the organizing force and six participating forces of the exercise and discusses the dual functions of the exercise: communication and demonstration.According to different contexts, the paper classifies the exercises into three types: exercises for regional conflicts, exercises for antiterrorism warfare and exercises participated by multiple countries.In the end, the paper concludes the characteristics of the exercises: serialization, diversification, unilateralization, interactivity and actual combat.
