Objective To construct a desktop simulation joint practical training plan for public health emergen-cies and evaluate its application effectiveness. Methods The desktop simulation joint practical training plan was constructed through literature review and expert meetings.Using convenience sampling,103 emergency nurses who participated in a multi-department joint training for response of emergency public health incidents in Nanning City,Guangxi Province from June to August 2023 were selected as the research subjects. An Emergency Nurses'Emer-gency Response Capability Questionnaire and self-made theoretical emergency knowledge assessment questions were used to evaluate the participants before and after training, and participants'satisfaction was investigated. Results After training, emergency nurses showed significant improvement in emergency knowledge, rescue ability, critical thinking ability, communication skills, and organizational and coordination abilities, with statistically significant differ-ences(P<0.05).The overall training satisfaction score was(58.33±3.04).Conclusion The desktop simulation joint practical training plan contributes to enhance the emergency response capabilities of emergency nurses in dealing with public health emergencies.
