In recent years,the proportion of pregnant women with advanced maternal age and high-risk has increased,and the incidence of pathological pregnancy is increasing.The obstetric high dependency care model,which can provide strict monitoring and high level of care for critically ill pregnant women,has made some progress in foreign countries.This paper summarized the background and concept of the obstetric high dependency care,the setting of obstetric high dependency unit and the allocation of staff,the clinical practice and effect evaluation.Combining the national conditions of our country,this paper puts forward the prospect that obstetric high dependence care can be further developed to improve the level of care for critically ill pregnant women in China.
