The sales of electronic cigarettes are exploding around the world.The cancer rate of electronic smokers is twice as non-smokers.and the relationship between e-cigarette and oral cancer is unclear because the mouth is the main site of e-cigarette smoke exposure.Recent studies have shown that there are a variety of carcinogens in electronic cigarette liquid,which can cause DNA damage in oral epithelial cells,induce drug resistance in oral cancer cells,promote the proliferation of cancer stem cells and change the oral microbiota.In addition,some tumor markers of e-cigarette users increased,and the incidence of oral mucosal diseases increased.This paper reviews the relationship between electronic cigarettes and oral cancer,The goal is to provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of oral cancer.At present,the role of each component of electronic cigarettes in the occurrence and development of oral cancer is still unclear.In order to reduce the release of carcinogens,it is important to study its mechanism and improve cigarette equipment or create new smoking cessation equipment.
