On the new journey of socialist modernization,digital economy is an important force to promote a new round of scientific and technological revolution and agricultural and rural modernization in the new era.Rural digital economy contributes to the modernization of agriculture and rural areas from the aspects of industrial development in rural areas,the increase of farmers'income and prosperity,the optimization and upgrading of consumption structure,and the integrated development of urban and rural areas.However,there remain some difficulties in the agricultural modernization empowered by digital economy,such as the backwardness of agricultural digital infrastructure construction,inadequate development and sharing of digital economy and agricultural data,lack of digital human resources and so on.Adhering to the problem-oriented and looking for the correct practical approach from the realistic difficulty is very important for promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
