Crop carbon footprint refers to the accurate accounting of crop carbon sources and sinks for the production and fixed amount of greenhouse gas in the process of crop growth, which can provide theoretical support for agricultural emission reduction and sink increase. This paper selects 601 papers related to crop carbon footprint from 2010 to 2022,briefly summarizes the current research progress of crop carbon footprint from the aspects of concept, accounting methods and emission reduction measures, and makes a visual analysis of its publication. At present, there are three main methods of carbon footprint accounting, among which chemical fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural machinery account for the largest proportion of electricity consumption, and crop carbon footprint is constantly changing under the influence of agricultural material input and soil dry humidity. It has also been verified to reduce the carbon footprint by improving the utilization rate of agricultural materials, rational allocation of crop planting and increasing soil carbon sequestration. This also shows that agriculture can contribute more to double carbon.
