Salicylic acid is an important plant hormone, which not only regulates many aspects of plant growth and development, but also plays an important role in plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. In recent years, great progress has been made in the research on Salicylic acid biosynthesis and signal transduction:the metabolic pathways and several steps of isochorismate synthase and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase in Salicylic acid biosynthesis have been further improved, and it is clear that NPR1 and its homologous proteins NPR3 and NPR4 are the real receptors of Salicylic acid in plants. The structure of NPR proteins was analyzed. This paper reviews the related studies on the biosynthesis, signal transduction and transport of Salicylic acid.
