The report of the 19th CPC National Congress clearly proposes to implement the strategy of rural revitalization and cultivate a working team of"agriculture,rural areas and farmers"who understand agriculture,love rural areas and farmers,which points out the direction for the construction of farming education system in local agricultural colleges and universities in the new era.Farming-reading education is a fine tradition of education in ancient China,which contains the concepts of respect for nature,diligence and wisdom,practical innovation,and is of great significance for training applied agricultural talents who know and love farmers.Shouldering the mission of serving rural revitalization and leading the development of agricultural and rural modernization,local agricultural colleges and universities should be based on school-running characteristics and resource endowments,integrate the concept of farming-reading education into the whole process of personnel training,and establish and improve the farming-reading education system with distinctive agricultural characteristics,so as to provide talent support and intellectual guarantee for the implementation of the strategy of rural revitalization.In view of this,on the basis of combing the internal logical relationship between farming-reading education and rural revitalization,this paper expounds the enlightenment of farming-reading education to rural revitalization,and explores the construction path of farming-reading education system in local agricultural colleges and universities from the aspects of training objectives,curriculum system,practical teaching and teaching staff,in order to provide theoretical reference for training talents of"agriculture,rural areas and farmers"in the new era.
