Taking Xinjiang Agricultural University as an example,this study deeply explores the importance of mentor guidance in improving the scientific research ability of graduate students.The results show that the effective guidance of supervisors has a significant impact on the research ability of graduate students.Although there are problems such as the shortage of educational resources and the lack of innovative practice ability,the scientific research ability of graduate students can be effectively improved by improving the guidance method of supervisors and improving the scientific research literacy of supervisors.At the same time,the communication and interaction between graduate students and their supervisors is also an important factor in cultivating scientific research ability.This study proposes a series of innovation ability training strategies,aiming to optimize the postgraduate training system and improve the scientific research and innovation ability of agricultural graduate students.These strategies can also be used as a reference for other universities to promote the overall improvement of the quality of postgraduate education..
