With the rapid development of information technology and the Internet,smart forestry,which has emerged as a new forestry management model combining the Internet of Things,big data,cloud computing and other kinds of modern science and technology,is gradually becoming an important force to promote the modernization of forestry management.This paper first summarizes the connotation,characteristics and key technologies of smart forestry,then analyzes the problems existing in grass-roots forestry management,and then discusses the significance and application of smart forestry in grass-roots forestry management.Finally,the optimal application measures of smart forestry in grass-roots forestry management are put forward.
