With the rapid development of digital technology and the widespread adoption of the internet, digital libraries have become a bridge connecting rural culture with modern technology, providing new avenues for the preservation, inheritance, and innovation of rural culture. This paper first analyzes the current bottlenecks and their causes in the revitalization of rural culture, including the gradual disappearance of traditional culture, uneven distribution of cultural resources, and the lack of educational resources in rural areas. It then discusses the basic functions of digital libraries and, through two case studies, elucidates the significant value of digital libraries in advancing the revitalization of rural culture.Lastly,it proposes three main pathways for using digital libraries to empower cultural revitalization in rural areas.First, promoting the digital preservation and inheritance of rural traditional cultural resources;second, ensuring a balanced distribution of various cultural resources;and third, providing a rich and diverse array of educational and cultural resources to rural areas.Through exploring these pathways, the paper aims to offer strategies and practical suggestions for policymakers, educators, and library managers to collectively promote the revitalization of rural culture.
