In the context of global economic integration and environmentally sustainable development,foreign investment is crucial to regional economic development.As an important measure,the National Agricultural Green Development Pilot Zone Policy is crucial for attracting foreign investment in pilot areas.The study is based on data from 286 prefecture-level cities in China from 2015 to 2021,including 71 pilot cities,and uses a multi-point double difference method to verify the impact of this policy on attracting foreign investment in pilot areas.Research found that this policy can significantly promote the pilot areas to attract foreign investment,especially in areas such as the southeastern half of the Hu Huanyong Line and ordinary prefecture-level cities.Mechanism test results show that this policy mainly attracts foreign investment through scientific research investment mechanisms and environmental improvement mechanisms.These results provide important reference for further promoting the policy of pioneer areas for green agricultural development.
