Landscape dendrology is an important required course for landscape architecture majors.Due to the numerous knowledge points and large amount of information,tree types and characteristics are difficult to understand and remember,so there are certain difficulties in teaching and learning.By analyzing the characteristics and teaching status of landscape dendrology courses,and exploring teaching reform based on the PBL(problem-based learning)teaching model design strategy integrated with mind maps.This paper mainly discusses the aspects of optimizing the teaching process,improving the design of teaching content,setting up pre-class mind maps preview lists,and"diversified"assessment methods.PBL is conducive to improving students'subjective initiative and in-depth thinking in teaching.Mind maps assist in sorting and memorizing knowledge,integrate fragmented knowledge,and is conducive to strengthening students'mastery of knowledge and improving overall thinking ability.Studying the reform of the teaching model of PBL integrated mind map can produce dual integration effects,in order to apply it in daily teaching and provide reference for relevant professional curriculum construction and teaching reform.
