Traditional villages in Hunan Province have rich historical and cultural resources and are important carriers of traditional culture.However,with the advancement of modernization,traditional villages in Hunan are facing dual challenges of protection and development.At present,some progress has been made in the protection of traditional villages in Hunan,but it still faces many problems.In order to achieve the mutual integration and promotion of traditional village protection and rural revitalization,the protection and revitalization of traditional villages can be promoted through various methods such as Red tourism,clan culture,ethnic culture,and intangible cultural heritage.For example,Shaoshan Village drives economic development through Red tourism,Chongmudang Village uses ethnic minority culture to develop tourism,and Shibadong Village achieves rural revitalization through targeted poverty alleviation.These innovative practices show that combining its own characteristics and resource advantages and exploring new paths for village protection and development according to local conditions is the key to realizing the revitalization of traditional villages in Hunan.
