The spirit of Yuan Longping as a scientist has provided valuable ideological and political resources and action guide-lines for promoting reading in rural areas of Hunan. Through literature analysis and field survey,this paper points out the difficulty of rural reading promotion in Hunan,reveals the practical value of spirit of Yuan Longping as a scientist leading the promotion of rural reading in Hunan,and puts forward specific strategies for spirit of Yuan Longping as a scientist to lead the promotion of rural reading in Hunan. Provide reference for further promoting the prosperity and development of Hunan's rural reading promotion and promoting the revitalization of rural culture.
