Based on the characteristics of plant biology courses,this paper summarizes the problems existing in the teaching of this course,expounds the role of farming and reading education in integrating this course,and carries out the teaching content,model,evaluation and ideological and political education reform attempts of integrating farming and reading education into plant bi-ology courses. It also analyzes the teaching effects over the years,and builds a farming and reading education curriculum system in which a student knows,loves and develops agriculture,which enhances students' awareness of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers"and their patriotic enthusiasm,and stimulates students' enthusiasm and initiative. The results-oriented teaching concept was put for-ward,the quality of course teaching was improved,and the comprehensive development of new agricultural talents was cultivated for promoting the Rural Revitalization Strategy.
