The Development Economics course is a course dedicated to studying economic development issues in developing countries and is one of the core courses for agriculture-related majors. Against the backdrop of vigorously implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy, the necessity of reforming the Development Economics curriculum was elaborated, and it was found that the course had problems such as lack of teaching content, emphasis on theory over practice in the teaching process, lack of interest in teaching methods, and single assessment methods. On this basis, countermeasures such as optimizing teaching content, focusing on the cultivation of students' practical abilities in the teaching process, enriching teaching methods, and innovating assessment methods are proposed to deliver high-quality agricultural talents for rural revitalization.
