AIM To establish a fingerprint method of Lilium brownii.METHODS Eleven batches of Lilium brownie were collected from Hunan province, and extracted with 80% ethanol for 1 h in refluxing process.The fingerprints were detected by HPLC.The diosgenin was used as reference marker, and Diamonsil C18 column and a mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.5%H3PO4( binary gradient elution ) were adopted with a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, the column temperature was room temperature.Detection wavelength was set at 205 nm.Semblance software was used to analyse the similarity of Lilium Brownii.RESULTS Thirteen common peak were obtained from samples of Lilium brownii, the similarity coefficient of Lilium brownii fingerprint stood at 0.9 and 1.0.CONCLUSION The established fingerprint can be useful in quality control of the crud drug of Lilium Brownii.
