AIM To study the chemical constituents of Athyrium multidentatum. METHODS The compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of Athyrium multidentatum by silica gel column chromatography and semipreparative HPLC, and their structures were elucidated by means of spectral analyses. RESULTS Twelve compounds were isolated and identified as aspidinol B (1) , caffine acid (2) , quercetin (3 ) , ursolic acid (4) , kaempferol (5) , gallic acid (6) , 3-hydroxy-5, 6-epoxy-β-ionone (7) , kaempferol-3-β-D-glucoside (8) , kaempferol-7-β-D-glucoside (9), quercetin-3-β-D-glucoside (10), quercetin-7-β-D-glucoside (11), chlorogenic acid (12). CONCLUSION Twelve compounds are isolated from Athyrium multidentatum for the first time.
