Clinical effects of Buyi Piwei Kuijie Recipe on patients with ulcerative colitis due to Spleen-Stomach Weakness
AIM To explore the clinical effects of Buyi Piwei Kuijie Recipe on patients with ulcerative colitis due to Spleen-Stomach Weakness.METHODS One hundred and thirty-two patients were randomly assigned into control group(66 cases)for 4-week intervention of conventional treatment,and observation group(66 cases)for 4-week intervention of both Buyi Piwei Kuijie Recipe and conventional treatment.The changes in clinical effects,Mayo score,SF-36 score,TCM syndrome score,5-HT,IL-6,TNF-α,IL-4,CD4+/CD8+,LPS,TGF-β1,and DAO were detected.RESULTS The observation group demonstrated higher total effective rate than the control group(P<0.05).After the treatment,the two groups displayed decreased Mayo score,TCM syndrome score,TNF-α,LPS,5-HT,IL-6,CD4+/CD8+,DAO(P<0.05),and increased SF-36 score,TGF-β1,IL-4(P<0.05),especially for the observation group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION For the patients with ulcerative colitis due to Spleen-Stomach Weakness,Buyi Piwei Kuijie Recipe can reduce inflammatory reactions,regulate immune functions,inhibit pain medium secretion,promote intestinal mucosa repair,and enhance clinical effects.
