AIM To study the chemical constituents of lignans from the flowers of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat..METHODS 80%ethanol extraction of C.morifolium flowers was isolated and purified by macroporous adsorption resin,Sephadex LH-20 and preparative HPLC,and structures of all obtained compounds were determined by their spectral data and physicochemical properties.RESULTS Eleven lignans were isolated and identified as ssioriside(1)、nudiposide(2)、lyoniside(3)、tortoside A(4),viburfordoside E(5)、tiliamuroside A(6)、secoisolariciresinol 4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(7)、isolariciresinol 4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(8)、isolariciresinol 9-O-β-D-xylocopyranoside(9)、5′-methoxy-isolariciresinol 9′-O-β-D-xylopyranoside(10)、(7R,8R)-4,7,9,9′-tertahydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxy-8-O-4′-oxyneolignan(11).CONCLUSION All compounds are obtained from C.morifolium for the first time.
