In order to clarify the species composition and population dynamics of fruit flies, the combination of molecular and morphological methods was deployed to detect species based on pan trap sampling of fruit fly adults from polyculture cherry orchard in Beijing. We compared the species diversity and population dynamics among different fruit trees(cherry, pear, apple, peach and plum)and weed hosts, thus constructed the fruit fly-host food web and analyzed the correlation between species occurrence and host plants by using principal component analysis(PCA).In this study,a total of 10 fruit fly species were identified, the dominant species included Drosophila busckii,Scaptodrosophila sp.,Drosophila triauraria and Drosophila suzukii, taking 27.7%,15.1%,14.7%and 10.6%of total fruit flies respectively. The species composition of fruit flies were varied among various fruit trees and weed.In the investigation period, the population of D.busckii kept declining in weed and other dominant species had similar population dynamics among different host plants.Weed contained the highest diversity and population abundance of fruit flies.Correlation analysis showed that weeds were the main source of D.suzukii and the main breeding ground of fruit flies during cherry fruit ripening period. It is suggested that the attention should be paid to the occurrence of D.triauraria,D.melanogaster/simulans and D.suzukiiin cherry fruit ripening period. In orchard management, weed should be removed in advance to reduce damage by host transfer between cherry and weed and frequency of mixed hazard during cherry fruit ripening period.
