Effects of varying shading treatments under facility conditions on the growth, photosynthetic characteristics, yield and quality of strawberry
Using'Snow Queen'strawberry as experimental materials, different levels of shading(30%,50%and 70%)were applied to investigate the effects of shading treatments on the growth, photosynthetic characteristics, yield and quality of strawberry under facility conditions. The results revealed that both the temperature and photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)between plants were significantly reduced under shading treatments.Shading treatments transformed the daily variation curves of Pn,Gs,Tr and Ci from the original"bimodal"pattern to a"unimodal"pattern, while also significantly increasing the chlorophyll content.Among the shading treatments, the 30%level demonstrated optimal growth status and fruit yield, with minimal impact on fruit quality.Conversely, the 70%shading treatment resulted in the poorest performance across all indicators. In conclusion, conducting a 30%shading treatment under facility conditions contributes to improving the quality and increasing the yield of greenhouse strawberry.
