Analysis of resource endowment and regional comparative advantage of citrus industry in Wuling Mountain Area
To revitalize rural areas and industries,consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively connecting with rural revitalization is the top priority of the current"three rural"work.By studying the comparative advantages of nine main citrus producing areas in China,including Zhejiang,Fujian,Hunan,Hubei,Guangxi,Guangdong,Jiangxi,Chongqing,and Sichuan,especially in Zigui,Changyang,Xuan'en,Badong,Jianshi,Laifeng,and Hefeng,which belong to Hubei Province in the Wuling Mountain Area,Xinshao,Xinning,Dongkou,Shimen,Huitong,Luxi,Jishou,Guzhang,Fenghuang,Yongshun,Longshan and Baojing in Hunan Province,and Wulong,Youyang,and Fengdu in Chongqing to demonstrate and analyze the comparative advantages of citrus production regions in 22 districts and counties,and provide scientific basis for the upgrading and upgrading of citrus industry in Wuling Mountain Area.Using relevant data from 2012 to 2021,the comprehensive comparative advantage index model was used to calculate the efficiency comparative advantage,scale comparative advantage,and comprehensive comparative advantage of nine main citrus producing areas.The resource endowment coefficient model was used to calculate the influencing factors of resource endowment advantage and comparative advantage of 22 districts and counties within the Wuling Mountain Area.The results indicate that compared with other main producing areas,the citrus industry in Wuling Mountain Area has a strong regional comparative advantage and a certain resource endowment advantage.In order to better develop the citrus industry in Wuling Mountain Area,it is necessary to excavate latecomer advantages on the basis of existing advantages,fully leverage resource endowment advantages,and promote high-quality development of the citrus industry in Wuling Mountain Area.
