In this study,Peach virus T detection was carried out by RT-PCR using collected leaves from abnormal peach trees of orchards surrounding Zhengzhou city,Henan Province. Results indicated that virus was detected out in six of 18 samples, with a detection rate of 33.3%.These infected peach samples were distributed in different orchards located in three towns and referred to five cultivars. However,no virus was detected out on samples from Gongyi city. The infected cultivars not only included old varieties planted for many years, but also new released varieties.Such results suggested Peach virus T was present in production for a long time and it was still spreading by insects or agricultural activities in some local areas.
