Over the past 40 years since the reform and opening-up,Jiangxi's fruit industry has emerged as an important pillar in promoting the revitalization of rural industries,playing a significant role in enhancing the prosperity and income of fruit farmers.Jiangxi Province is not only a major production area for oranges in China,but also a region specializing in characteristic fruits such as kiwifruit,early-ripening pears,peaches,and grapes.It boasts unique advantages in geographical location and ecological and climatic conditions.In 2022,Jiangxi's total fruit production reached 7.493 8 million tons,with a planting area of 438.7 thousand hectares.Its production and planting area accounted for 2.39%and 3.37%of the national total,respectively,while the yield per unit area was only 71.01%of the national average.To thoroughly identify the constraints hindering the high-quality development of Jiangxi's fruit industry,this paper delves into the existing issues and challenges based on a clear understanding of its current status.Furthermore,it proposes countermeasures and suggestions aimed at promoting the high-quality development of Jiangxi's fruit industry.
