Research application and prospects on molecular marker technology for kiwifruit genetic diversity
DNA molecular marker technology utilizes the polymorphism of DNA sequences to identify species and varieties, reflecting genetic variation directly without being limited by growth environments or developmental stages, making it particularly suitable for perennial plants such as fruit trees. This technology is characterized by its simplicity, accuracy, reliability, stability, and cost-effectiveness,and has become an important auxiliary means in plant breeding.Common molecular marker techniques used in kiwifruit genetic diversity research include RFLP,AFLP,RAPD,SSR,ISSR,SRAP,SNPs and SCoT.This review summarizes the principles of these molecular marker techniques and their application in the analysis of kiwifruit genetic diversity, aiming to provide a reference for selecting appropriate species identification techniques and to provide a theoretical basis for kiwifruit breeding.
