Research progress on the relationship between soil nutrients and the growth, yield, and quality of kiwifruit
Soil nutrients play a crucial role in the production process of kiwifruit, exerting a vital influence on the growth, yield, and quality, thereby directly reflecting the comprehensive productivity of the soil. This review comprehensively examines the interrelationships among various soil nutrient factors and their impacts on the growth and development of fruit yield and quality. It further delves into the pivotal soil factors currently constraining the enhancement of both yield and quality in kiwifruit production, encompassing the multifaceted effects of soil physical properties(such as moisture content and texture)and chemical characteristics(such as organic matter content,pH,nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, among other elements)on the growth, yield, and quality of kiwifruit. The objective of this review is to provide a robust theoretical foundation for orchard soil management and the implementation of rational and scientific fertilization practices, thereby contributing importantly to the healthy and sustainable development of the kiwifruit industry by offering substantial theoretical underpinnings and practical technological support.
