Research progress on germplasm resources of Actinidia eriantha
Actinidia eriantha is a unique berry resource in China and with great development potential after A.chinensis and A.deliciosa.In recent years,the studies of resource collection and evaluation of A.eriantha has been gradually improved,and many excellent new cultivars have been bred.The completion of the genome sequencing of A.eriantha has significantly promoted the application of omics technologies in its research,leading to a series of regulatory genes and molecular markers associated with unique traits were identified.This review provides an overview of the current research status and progress of A.eriantha germplasm resources,focusing on resource collection,breeding of new cultivars,multi-omics applications,molecular marker development,and the functional identification of genes related to specific traits.The insights provided aim to support the breeding of new A.eriantha cultivars and the enhancement of its germplasm resources.
