Orchard establishing and cultivation and management techniques using new rootstocks(Actinidia valvata Dunn)
The new rootstocks mainly include Aetinidia valvata Dunn have the characteristics of waterlogging tolerance and strong growth potential,and gradually popularized and used in the new kiwifruit garden in rainy and sticky soil areas.In this study,A.valvata Dunn and'Miliang 1'were used as rootstock and interstock,respectively.The intact rootstocks were planted in the first year,and cultivars were grafted in the next year.Tree management methods summarized as"one trunk and two vines following with pinnate lateral branches"were also carried out in the second year.This technology can guarantee a small amount of fruit and stabilize the tree shape in the third year,and lay the foundation for high and stable yields.
