Research on the Pattern and Influencing Mechanism of Global Textile Trade Network
The evolution of the global textile trade network and its influencing factors from 2006 to 2021 are studied by using the exponential random graph model. The study found that the overall trade network showed a steady upward trend, and the connectivity and interaction were enhanced.China and India dominate exports, while United States and European countries are stable in imports.Trade relationships are more easily formed between countries with lower economic levels and those with moderate population sizes, while trade ties are closer among countries with higher levels of innovation.Geographical adjacency, common language, high degree of religious similarity and the signing of free trade agreements have a significant role in promoting the formation of trade networks, and the impact of geographical adjacency is particularly prominent. These findings provide a new perspective for understanding the evolution mechanism of the global textile trade network, and provide an important reference for formulating trade policies and optimizing the trade structure.
