Research progress on international trade costs under the background of digital economy
Trade costs play an important role in international trade theory.This article analyzes the progress of research on international trade costs.Research has found that:(1)Under the background of the digital economy,traditional trade is undergoing a transformation towards digital trade;(2)In terms of factors affecting trade costs,in addition to geographical distance,tariffs,regional trade agreements,economic differences,and population size,the development of digital infrastructure and digital platforms between trading parties has become an increasingly important factor affecting trade costs;(3)Digital trade mainly reduces international trade costs by cutting related costs such as information search costs,compliance costs,storage costs,and transportation costs.
