The Effectiveness,Issues,and Prospects of Trade Cooperation among BRICS Countries
As representatives of emerging economies,BRICS countries have long regarded trade cooperation as an important issue,considering it a core area for prioritized development.In recent years,BRICS countries have achieved significant results in trade cooperation.Not only have they successfully established a multi-layered trade cooperation mechanism,but their trade development has also shown a stable trend,with overall trade volume continuously increasing and bilateral trade relations improving.However,alongside trade development,some issues remain,such as the need to further increase the level of trade connectivity,the asymmetry in trade relations,insufficient internal investment,and disagreements in trade positions.To address these challenges,BRICS countries need to further enhance internal trade exchanges,promote trade facilitation,expand areas of cooperation,and strengthen policy communication and coordination.Through these effective measures,BRICS countries are expected to further consolidate and deepen their trade ties and cooperation.
