The Latest Research Status,Hot Topics and Trends of Transnational Mergers and Acquisitions——Quantitative Review and Analysis of SSCI and CSSCI in the Past Five Years
In this paper,271 Social Sciences Citation Index(SSCI)and 269 Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index(CSSCI)papers published from 2018 to 2022 are used as research samples,and CiteSpace is used to systematically analyze the number of papers,author cooperation,institutional cooperation and keyword clustering.The findings are as follows:from 2018 to 2022,the number of foreign papers shows a general upward trend,while the number of domestic papers shows a general decline;The authors at home and abroad are mainly small research teams,and the cooperation between foreign publishing institutions is large and close,while the cooperation between domestic publishing institutions is limited.Domestic and foreign research hotspots and trends of"same while different"are highly concerned about the causes and consequences,integration and governance of cross-border mergers and acquisitions,while domestic studies pay more attention to case studies,cross-border mergers and acquisitions of Chinese enterprises in"Belt and Road"countries and the impact of digitalization on cross-border mergers and acquisitions.Foreign studies pay more attention to cross-border mergers and acquisitions of family firms and emerging market firms,the characteristics of senior management teams and economic policy uncertainty,and the role of corporate social responsibility in cross-border mergers and acquisitions.Based on the systematic review,the future prospect is proposed,which provides a useful reference for future research.
