To improve the quality standard of Maxingshigan Keli.the identification of ephedra,licorice and bitter almond in Maxingshigan Keli.was carried out by TLC.In this experiment,a thin-layer chromatography system was developed to simultaneously identify ephedra,licorice and bitter almond at the same time after the sample was processed in one step.The sample preparation method,different launch system,and optimization of heating temperature for the test samples were studied.In addition,the sample size,TLC distance,durability of different brands of silica gel G thin layer plates,and repeatability was conducted.The results showed that the method could accurately detect ephedra,licorice and bitter almond,with high sensitivity,good separation effect,clear spots,good reproducibility,and strong specificity.It not only meets the requirements of Chinese Veterinary Pharmacopoeia,but also saves time and reagents,which is suitable for quality control of ephedra,licorice and bitter almond in Maxing Shigan Keli.
